The Champ Is Here!

Did everyone have a nice Christmas this year?

Mine was fantastic.

Right off the bat I got this sweet Bo Jackson Royal Blue Jersey relic from my wife's family Secret Santa gift exchange.  We used this website to draw names and it allowed us to put stuff up that we would like with links to amazon so I did a little relic searching and threw up some links to ones that caught my eye.

This was one of the first that I found to put on my wish list and am happy I got it!

2009 Upper Deck Icons Legendary Icons Relic LI-BJ

I don't have to tell anyone how amazing Bo Jackson was.  Its great to add a relic of his to my collection!

I also got a Blaster of 2013 Topps Allen & Ginter and a 2012 Topps Update Rack Pack from my sister in my own family's Secret Santa Gift Exchange with some neat inserts.

However the best news I got over the holidays was Peyton Manning throwing 400 yards and 4 TDs and leading me to a Fantasy Football Championship!  I had a co owner for my team this year and split the kitty with him and then split that again with my wife because I likes to share my spoils of victory with her.

So all said and done I have $120 towards some new cards or card!

The smart thing to do would be to get some cards that I need to complete some sets, but the other part of me wants to find the nicest most valuable card at a bargain price.  I'm currently bidding on one now.  I doubt very much I'll win it, but I'm winning right now anyway.  If it falls to me well, lets just say AWWWEEESSSSOOOMMMEEE.

Check it out...

Fingers crossed I land it... if not I'll keep looking.  I'm going to play the patience game and get a steal.

In other news I'm not sure the Harper for Machado trade is going to go down.  We never had the chance to meet up before Christmas and low and behold my man got a Bowman Chrome Machado rookie auto.  He has yet to get back to me in regards to a deal still going down, but at this point I doubt it.

Not a big deal... the Machado is still a great card and am happy to hang on to it.

I hope everyone else did well!  Look forward to reading all about it.  I'll update what I end up getting with my winnings.  Hopefully it's a real gem!

Christmas Trading!!!

Well that didn't take long!

I write a blog post about how quiet collecting has been for me lately and BOOM!

I pull off an impressive and very much welcomed trade!

I will usually share my posts on the facebooks to draw more attention to The Lostcards and discovered a buddy I went to high school with also collects cards.  We had talked a while back about a possible trade and I learned he was looking for a Manny Machado auto card.

I had just gotten mine in a trade!  At the time I wasn't ready to give it up and wanted to hang on to it.  Check it out again below!

Now it is still very early to tell, but Manny is THE REAL DEAL.  I'm going to enjoy watching him play in Camden Yards for many years to come.  This card will be missed for sure!

However...

It was an offer I just couldn't refuse

My old friend from high school tossed out this gem in a straight up trade!

BOOM!

2012 Bowman Chrome Bryce Harper RC Auto.

This is a great card obviously and while I'd love to hang on to my Manny, I have a feeling I'll get another one in the future.  So for now!  So Long and Farewell!

Welcome to Woog's collection Bryce.

Your stay may be long or brief.  It all depends if I get a monster offer in a trade on you.  Say maybe a certain lost card???

And still I have another trade (or trades...) that may land me my first 2013 Topps 71/72 mini relics.  Wish me luck!

Happy Holidays from Basic Woogenomics!

So happy holidays to all my friends and family! I know it's been a while since I posted and its really because not much has gone on to blog about.  I've not purchased cards in forever and with our baby's first Christmas it looks like Santa may pass by my house this year.  Which is fine.  I'm in the semi finals for my fantasy league and am the #1 seed.  If I win my league this year I'll have a $225 pay out and will spend at least half of that on some baseball cards or card.

I've got 5 cards left for the 206 booklets about 50 left for Lineage relics and I drool over 2013 Topps 1971/1972 relics on ebay all the damn time.

Not to mention I've got the lost cards to reclaim.

So time will tell what I end up accomplishing.  Odds are I get bounced this weekend from the play offs and get no baseball card moneys.  I've pitched multiple trades in the past few weeks, but no takers.  Still I'll keep trying!

I would love to hear about every ones haul over Christmas assuming you all put baseball cards on your wish list as well!  And for my Jewish friends out there, hopefully you pulled some packs on one of your 8 crazy nights!

Regardless of the outcome under my Christmas tree, I feel blessed to be spending it with my little girl.  Priorities have certainly changed, but the passion remains the same!  A happy new year to you all!

Much love!

What's a collector to do!?! Advice wanted!

Hey guys... I know... I hardly ever do this anymore.  Not for lack of interest. Just increasingly busy watching my daughter grow up and dealing with life as a new parent.  I'd love to be able to go buy boxes and rip packs and hope for the best, but for now those days are in my rear view mirror.  I've got little ventures here and there that may potentially turn in to cards...(9-1 in fantasy this year and gunning for some money), but for now I'm trying to think of what I should do about my actual collection.

Currently my biggest interests are finishing the lineage relics and 206 booklets.  I've got a long road ahead of me for the Lineage relics, but I can knock out the 206 sooner then later with only 5 left to go.

However, I've got a huge crush on those 1971 and 1972 mini relics Topps came out with this year that are numbered to 25.  With 45 total subjects I'd like to collect all of them and pair them with the 75 mini relics from lineage in some type of ultimate display.

Which brings me to the point where I look for advice.

I've got a ton of relics and autographs.  Aside from the Lost Cards... I think i'm ready to part with all of them if it isn't one of the 3 sets listed above.

Now some cards are much nicer then others but some of my collection is less then appealing to your average collector.

Has anyone had any success selling off there collection via grab bags?  I'm thinking bags of 10-20 nice cards with a mix of HOF's and at least an auto or relic.  Relic bags, $5 and auto bags $10.  Has this actually worked for anyone??

Now the nicer stuff I'd like to get in the hands of you guys!  The ones I know will really appreciate them.

Does anyone have any 206, Lineage, or 71/72 mini relics they'd be interested in trading.

Anyone out there, give me some advice.  I'll post the cards that are worth peoples time that are available for trade in a new post.

HIT ME UP!  I'm ready to listen.

Thanks!

2013 Topps Gypsy Queen

Anyone trying to complete this set?  I've got a few SP cards and am willing to trade.  Hit me up.

As always I'm still working on a master set of 2011 Lineage if anyone has any mini relics and or parallel cards.  Thanks!

Cardboard Dream'n

Being a collector on a dry spell can be hard sometimes.  I find myself you tubing box breaks and living vicariously through others.  I've purchased a little bit of 2013 Topps, but I've really become hooked on the mini relic case hits from series 1, 2 and update.  Some of them go for over $100, but a lot can be had in the mid $40-$60 price range.

Which got me thinking that I'm kinda hooked on mini relics.

I'm still trying to complete the lineage relics as well as the 2010 206 relic booklets.

Now I want all the 2013 relics as well.  Of course I don't have any of them yet, but I know I want them.  Check out the check lists!

Updates version is 1971 Topps, while series 1 and 2 are 1972 Topps.  I think the update checklist is the strongest of the 3.  All are considered a case hit.  Can you imagine a complete set of case hits?  Consider it my newest objective!  Here are screen shots of my favorite cards from each checklist to get an idea of why these might appeal to me so much!

So who amongst you has any of these!?!  Daddy needs to get his hands on them.  I'm ready to trade if you're ready to deal!

Lastly, I'm 7-0 and getting ready to go 8-0 in my fantasy league.  If I win this year I'll have a free $125 for baseball cards.  So many places I could spend it!  I could possibly get 1 of the top 4 lineage relics (Ruth, Mantle, Wagner, or Koufax) or maybe get 3 or even 4 of the last 206 relics!

OOORRRRR

Start my quest on these bad boys! Here's to hoping I get some money this year!

Just checking in

I can't believe I haven't posted anything in nearly 2 months.  My little girl is now 5 months old and baseball cards and the collection is just taking a back seat.

However, this month is also my 4 year anniversary with my wonderful wife and I'm hoping beyond hope that I get some wax to bust.  I'm not holding out much hope, but maybe i'll get lucky... (2 times, if you get what i'm putting down).

My cuz from AZ is also coming up next week... perhaps we'll go out and pick up a couple of packs.  We'll see!  I'll post any pulls I make!

Just wanted to check in and let you all know the blog isn't retired.  I'll be back at it sooner or later.

Until then!

(PS: I'm 5-0 in my fantasy league and looks like I have a championship squad.  Maybe this year I win the league and some baseball card money!)

Happy 100th Post! A Personal Thanks!

Well Friends,

It's Sunday morning... I've been relaxing since I woke up around 7:30 am to the sweet sounds of my 3 month old daughter talking out loud to herself over the baby monitor stationed next to me on my night stand.

I've been taking it easy... made the wife and I some breakfast burritos with left over Qdoba food from my fantasy football draft yesterday... sipped on some coffee and let my daughter take a 45 minute nap on my chest.  Then I grabbed my lappy and started reading up on some blogs, leaving a few comments here and there, and thought... it's a good time to post something.

Then I realized...

This will be my 100th post on this blog!!!

You guys have been with me for the last year and change and have seen me grow (and shrink) my collection.  Most of my trades have surely favored the other party, but most of you thought it was worth it (with the exception of one or two trades)... but I've had no regrets!  Through this blog I've met (not in person of course) many a collector and I now enjoy this hobby even more knowing I'm not alone out there.

Before this blog I couldn't share my excitement of a big pull with friends or family and get the reaction that you want and desire...

When I pulled my Mickey Mantle Jersey Card (still a "Lost Card") from an update box of 2000 Fleer Tradition (1 out of 80 box odds) I couldn't believe my luck... but to everyone else it was more like "ohh... that's nice Nick"

That was before this blog.

Recently I pulled a Yoenis Cespedes mini wood card 5/5 and the reaction I got from many of you was over the top... My good friend Kirk over at Eutaw Street Cardboard simply said "dude, you pull the sickest stuff"... and it felt great because I knew he got it.

Point being, you guys give me a certain level of fulfillment in terms of appreciation for being a collector. And I am grateful!

One of the best things I was able to document was the evolution of my Man Cave.  It's pretty much complete and I only say that because of course I will always want to update things here and there, but it's a comfortable space and displays everything beautifully.  You were there for the whole damn project and the feedback on the final product was like ice cream cake after dinner.  Thank you for that!

The best thing about the blog of course has been the trading.  Helping other collectors has been as rewarding (if not more) as other collectors helping me.  I've traded with many of you across the country... California, Arizona, Florida, and even in my backyard in Maryland.  Sharing my passion with those who appreciate it has been so rewarding.

Again, Thank you.

The post wouldn't be complete with out some recent highlights...

I've been on a new product freeze but did recently buy a single pack of A&G from Target just to get a small taste and was lucky enough to pull a relic card! Cody Ross bat card... 2010 NLCS MVP!

I was also able to gain another Lineage Relic from fellow blog buff Brad Rauer who hooked me up with Edinson Volquez.  And he asked for nothing in return!  A prime example of a selfless collector.  I'm so proud to be a part of your community and would undoubtedly offer the same help to those who were seeking it. Again... Thank you!

So on my 100th post I'd like to wish all my fellow collectors a happy Sunday.  Hope you're relaxing and taking it easy.  I may not post as much as I have in the past, but I will continue to read and share when anything new or exciting happens.

Again....

Thank you for reading and just plain...

THANK YOU

Look who's back in the mutha fuggin house!

Friends! It hath been too damn long.

Alas, I've been busy being a father... or should I say Daddy seein how I've gotts me a little girl.

She is by far the greatest achievement of my life... but enough of this!

You clearly came to read this because you're just dying to know what ol'Woogie has been up to.

or

You're just plain dying and you've got nothing better to read and you think this might just put the final nail in the coffin.

Either way... I'm happy to oblige!

So way back when I started this blog I posted about "My Crown Jewel" or the center piece of my collection.  It was a commemorative ticket from the night Cal Ripken Jr. broke Lou Gehrig's record of 2130 consecutive games played! As a quick refresher I came by this particular piece of memorabilia via my sister who picked it up from her co worker who was seconds away from throwing it out.  Luckily Baps knows her brother very well and saved it for me.

At the time I was working for a rental car company in Aberdeen which happens to be Cal's hometown and home of his minor league team the Aberdeen Ironbirds.  We ended up getting him a few cars the very next week and he needed my manager to shofar some old ball players for the night and as payment he'd sign a few items.  Cal got a little kick out of seeing the commemorative ticket and signed it once in silver by the picture of him with is arm around Lou, but wasn't happy with it and signed again for me on the back in black.

Since then I've kept it in the plastic lanyard that the ticket originally came in (which I regret because I feel like it faded the signature slightly) but recently had the chance to get it authenticated by JSA.  Not only did I take this measure but I also sent it off to Beckett at the same time for encapsulation.

Well I finally got it back in the mail and my prize possession is now safe for future generations.  I hope one day that it becomes a very valuable item!

Check it out!

As you can see the silver signature by his picture isn't very vivid...

But the second one on the back is very vivid!  Happy to have it protected for the future!

On another front I got another Linage relic as well putting my total at 51!  I got in a trade from Jedi Jeff!  I hooked him up with some cards from 2012 and 2013 Gypsy Queen in exchange for this sweet Jason Bay mini relic!

Only 50 more to go!  Hit me up if you got any that I need! You can find my updated need list in the Lineage Project Page.

Speaking of projects I also landed another 2010 Topps 206 Mini relic booklet of the electronic bay!  Normally I try to pull these cards via trade, but this one only cost me $6 bones!

Shin Soo Choo and Grady Sizemore

20 in the collection and only 5 left to go!

If you have any of these bad boys hit me up PLEASE!

That about does it for now in the world of Woogie!

I warn you now that it could be a while till I post again.  Hopefully something happens that gives me a reason to post.  Until then... back to Daddy duty.

Thanks for reading!

MONSTER TRADE Topps 206!

This ain't no bull ship either friends.  I mean it.

I just pulled off a huge

block buster

ain't happening again

TRADE!

So back in May I decided I wanted to go after the 2010 Topps 206 Mini Relic Booklets.  It's a set of 25 and each card is numbered to /99.  To me the idea of having this as a complete set puts me in rare company as I think it'd be near impossible for others to have a complete set as well.  Now I don't assume I'll have a one of a kind complete set collection once I have it completed, but I do know that no more then 99 people could possibly have one and that I'm sure would be impossible.  So maybe less then 25 people with a complete set.

I'll consider that rare company.

Today I woke up with only 2 out of 25 in the set.  Before I could finish my morning coffee that number jumped significantly!

I saw a HUGE lot of these bad boys on Ebay and decided what the hell... let me see if this guy is willing to do a trade.  I couldn't believe my ears when he got back to me and said "yes".  Now, this trade wasn't going to be a run of the mill trade.  I had to pull out some of my heavy hitters and give up some gems from the collection.  So before I let you all in on what I'm getting from this... here is what I gave up.

It's a lot

First I dealt 4 of my 2012 Topps Tribute pulls including a Paul O'Neill World Series Swatches to /25, Troy Tulowitzki Position of Power dual relic to 99, and a Starlin Castro Auto and Eduardo Nunez Auto both to 99.

Then I threw in my Hall of Famers including 2 different Roberto Clemente Relics (Adam, I know you'll read this and I'm sorry but I had to man... I'll get another one I'm sure!) My Lou Gehrig 2010 Topps Update Bat Barrel /25 SP, and my 2002 Brooks Robinson Sweet Spot Classic Signature

Follow that up with my Super Star lot. Including the case hit 2011 Tier 1 Top Tier Evan Longoria auto /99, 2011 Topps Lineage Giant Relic Evan Longoria /64, a 2011 Topps Marquee Ryan Braun quad patches to /25, and lastly a 2012 Ichiro Golden Moments relic to /99.

Round it out with my up and coming stars lot including 2011 Topps Marquee Elvis Andrus Auto to /75, 2013 Topps Chasing the Dream Mike Trout bat relic, 2010 Topps Pro Debut Brett Lawrie Jumbo Swatch /199, and 2009 SP Authentic By The Letter Daniel Murphy auto to /30.

Lastly to top it all of I kicked in this 2012 Legends of the Hall Jim Catfish Hunter 1/4 Graded 9 autograph from Historic Autographs.

ALL OF THAT FOR THIS

17 2010 Topps 206 Mini Booklet Relics

Check it out!

This lot was loaded with all of the top cards I needed! Pujols/Howard and Pujols/Ichiro... Jones and Markakis.  The only one I told him to keep from this picture was the Ramirez and Rollins which I already have.

In all I now have 19 out of 25!

Only 6 more to go for a complete set.  So here is what I need left!  If you know ANYONE who has one of them let me know so I can see if I can work out a deal!

MBR5 Joe Mauer and Johnny Bench
MBR10 Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay
MBR12 Chase Utley and Ryan Howard
MBR13 Shin-Soo Choo and Grady Sizemore
MBR19 CC Sabathia and Andy Pettitte
MBR22 Hunter Pence and Josh Hamilton

Of these 6 I really want to get my hands on that Mauer and Bench!

Once I complete the set
(and I will complete this set)

I plan to put them in a really nice frame for display.

Do you think I'm crazy for doing this trade!?

Put it in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

Stay tuned for another trade in the works for another Lineage relic.

Till next time

Hit me up if you got what I need!

Oh yeah... and if you have any 2010 Topps 206 mini booklets hit me up as well.  I've got 2 out of 25.  So if you've got one, odds are very good I need it!

Thanks for reading and any potential help!

Crush Davis

I went to the game last night and watched Chris Davis hit number 29 and 30!  What a night at the ballpark.  And to see the Orioles spank the Yankees 11-3.  I'll never forget it.

Damn it feels good to be a Baltimore fan!

HUGE TRADE!

So being a new father has brought many a challenge. One of them being finding time to post up on this bad ass blog of mine.  Okay... so maybe it's not that B A and god knows I've never posted up on anyone in my life.

But I digress...

I'm excited to report that I have dealt away the awesome Gypsy Queen pull for a slew of cards that I'm happy to now include in my collection.

Just to remind everyone out there, here is the sweet sweet Yoenis Cespedes 5/5 mini wood parallel card that can now be found in my gone but not forgotten page.

This card is now in my friend and co worker Karl's collection.

In exchange he set me up with the following.

I'll lead off with a graded 10 Cal Ripken Jr. 1987 Donruss base card!

I know right... that card is siiiiiick! (lol, if you don't have sarcasm glasses on right now then you just can't read this properly)

But for serious

Here was the main jewel of the trade.  I'm VERY stoked to add this to my collection!

2011 Bowman Manny Machado Prospect Autograph
Today this has a book value of $60 but I personally feel like he has way more upside then Cespedes and I'd honestly have taken this card straight up for the mini wood parallel.  However I got a hell of a lot more then just that.  Check it out!

So my buddy used to work for the grounds crew at Camden Yards and was able to meet a ton of players and grab autos.  This is of course an Ivan Rodriguez auto and was absolutely my role model growing up.  All I wanted to do growing up was play catcher in "The Bigs" and he was a huge reason why.  I'll settle for collecting cards instead!

Here's an on card auto of Bobby Witt.  Bobby of course wasn't a stellar player but has a few cool distinctions including striking out 4 batters in one inning as well as getting a WS ring with the 2001 World Series Champ Arizona Diamondbacks.

This auto of John Wetteland features a scripture underneath it but I can't exactly tell which one.  Once I figure it out I'll read it and see what Johnny was preaching.  Wetteland had his career year in 1996 when he won a World Series MVP with those goddamn Yankees.  Aside from that he also was named to the All Star team and was the Rolaids Relief Man of the Year in that same season.  Wetteland moved on from the Yankees (some guy named Mariano was apparently waiting in the wings) and finished his career out with Texas and was an All Star twice more in 98 and 99.  He has since been inducted in to the Rangers Hall of Fame.

This autograph of John Olerud is slightly faded but is another excellent addition to my collection.  Olerud had his best season in 1993 when he not only won his second World Series title with the Blue Jays but was also named to the All Star team, won the AL batting title and the Hutch Award.  Although he couldn't match the success he had in 1993 he was still an excellent ball player winning a Gold Glove in 2000, 2002, and 2003 and being named to his second All Star team in 2001.

This card features the autograph of one Ryan Minor who's claim to fame was replacing Cal Ripken Jr. at third base the day the Iron Man broke his streak.  Minor's career didn't really pan out but make no mistake he was an athlete.  Minor was even drafted in the second round of the NBA after a stellar college career but opted instead for baseball.

Here is a card I actually like as well.  An official Topps Certified auto of Ryan Mills.  I know what most of you are thinking... who the fug is Ryan Mills.  Mills was the first round draft pick of the Minnesota Twins in 1998 draft and never even sniffed a cup of coffee at the highest level.  He now carries the distinction of "The worst draft pick ever by the Minnesota Twins"

Welcome to the catalog Ryan... I'll keep you buddy!

This Rich Harden auto is cool for the fact that Harden's claim to fame is pitching an immaculate inning.  As good as I think I am at baseball on the PS3 I've never pitched one myself... so doing it in real life has got to be damn hard.  So consider me damn impressed!

At this point in the blog I know what you're thinking...
"Woogie got all of this for that mini wood card?!"

You bet your balls I did!  And I know you got'em cause ain't know way I've kept a woman's attention this long gushing about baseball cards and the players who appear on them.

The card above is from last years Archives and features Jack "The Ripper" Clark.  Jack Clark was obviously good enough to be considered a fan favorite for inclusion in this set and was a 4x All Star and won 2 Silver Slugger Awards.

That wraps it up for the autographs... I also picked up these two cards.

Don Mattingly Silver Slugger Trophy card from this years Topps Series 1.  Normally I don't like these cards that much, but this happens to have the highest book value (as well as others in the set) for this type of card.

And lastly this card I almost didn't even include in the post but I did get it in the trade so I'll give ol' Keith Reed his due and put him in the post.

So all that for the Cespedes.  Like I said... I'd have been happy with just the Machado and to be honest the Pudge auto.  The rest were all icing on the cake.  Feel free to leave me comments to let me know if you think I made out okay on the deal.

Thanks for reading!

Stay tuned for the next trade post.

Till next time

A Happy Father's Day with 2013 Topps Archives

Happy Father's Day out there to all my fellow Dads!

This one was my first and it's been a great one.  Although my little girl is only 5 weeks old she must have known what was up because she actually slept through the night and has been taking a lot of naps today to allow me and the wife to enjoy our day.

Not that we don't enjoy our day when she is up, but it's nice to watch a whole movie with out pausing in the middle.

So I was a happy camper when I got a nice card from my wife and another one from my daughter as well as a giant picture of my little girl and a few of just the two of us hanging in her bedroom.  It was a very thoughtful project by my wife.

After I got my cards and pictures I was treated to breakfast and a lazy morning in front of the TV.  Around 1pm I snuck out to this amazing diner in Baltimore called the Broadway Diner.  It has been featured on Diner's Drive In's and Dives on the Food Network and is one of my favorite spots to take my wife.  Since she was staying at the house with our daughter I went to grab us lunch.  I'll be honest though, it wasn't all about food!  Our favorite diner is about half a mile from a little baseball card shop.

I didn't buy a whole box but I ended up walking out with at least half a busted box of 2013 Topps Archives.  I did well and pulled some nicer cards and even 1 autograph.  I'm not going to go through all the pulls I hit but I'll do the highlights.

I'll start with the autograph!

John Mayberry was an All Star for the Royals in 73 and 74 and hit for the cycle in 1977.  His son is now playing for the Phillies and Sr. was inducted in to the Royals Hall of Fame in 1996.

While it's not a huge pull it's cool that you at least get somewhat of a name when you pull an auto from Archives instead of a possible prospect that may never make it like you might get in other sets.

What I really enjoy from Archives are the inserts!  I was lucky to pull a number of them.  Here are some of my favorites!

I also pulled a couple Yankees sets with Ruth, Gehrig, and Jeter, and quad pitcher set including Koufax and Kershaw.

I really like the Griffey Basketball insert

I also pulled a Gallery of Heroes Albert Pujols and a redemption for a vintage card at my local hobby shop.  I'll update the blog with what I get from that but the ones I've seen pulled are in horrible condition and nothing to be proud of.  Since I'm going to take the redemption in to the shop I plan to take some 80's cards in and trade them in for Series 2 packs!

If you're collecting Archives or like the Mayberry autograph hit me up and we can work out a trade.

Till next time...

Thanks for reading and Happy Father's Day!

Lineage Trade!

So it's been a while since I made any progress on Lineage cards other than the relic cards.  However I recently got a trade offer from someone I previously did business with and we were able to complete another nice trade!

I dealt out a few relics and an auto in exchange for several Platinum, Diamond, 75 minis, Cloth stickers, 3D, and even a Venezuelan.

Normally I'd like to make this fun to read and inject some humor but it happens to be my very first afternoon alone with my little girl! (Momma is out shopping for a new dress since our girl is getting baptized tomorrow.)  So I'm trying to bust this out as quickly as possible while she is sleeping.  In fact I can actually hear her pooping as she sleeps looking like an angel!

Check out the deal!

Gone but not forgotten are the following...

A pair of 2013 Topps Chasing History cards featuring a relic of David Ortiz and an auto of David Justice. A 2013 Topps Heritage Ian Kennedy relic to 99, 2012 Ubaldo Jimenez Mound Dominance relic to 50, and my duplicate 2011 Topps Lineage Pablo Sandoval auto

In return I got the following cards toward my quest to complete a master set of Topps Lineage!

Tulowitzki and Crawford Cloth Stickers, Kemp and Dunn Standees, and Wright, Adrian Gonzalez, and Teixeira 3D cards

9 75 mini cards (my favorite part of the set) including Holliday, Morrison, Koufax, Cruz, Snider, Munson, Ramirez, Sisler, and Walter Johnson.

An Adam Dunn Venezuela insert, 6 Diamond inserts including Dawson, Hellickson, Reyes, Gibson, Cano, and Morel.

and lastly 11 Platinum parallels including Dunn, Danks, Either, Montero, Fisk, Longoria, Schmidt, Belt, Morrison, Drabek, and Ford.

So 34 cards in exchange for 3 relics and 2 autos.

A deal that I think made both sides pretty happy.

I've still got a long way to go in a Master Set.

Message me if you can help!  After today my list should be current!

Thanks for reading!

Trade Winds A'blowin!

So I recently posted a new objective to collect the entire mini booklet relic set from 2010 Topps T206

For those of you who may have a fuzzy memory you can re-read that shizzz here.

My man Brad from Brad's Blog (plug: http://bradsphilliesblog.blogspot.com)
hit me up with an offer for one of the cards I needed in the set.

Brad was initially looking for cards I'd already dealt, but have no fear, the catalog still had other fruits to bear!

Check out what Brad pulled from my collection...

Ryan Howard 2009 Topps Tribute Dual Bat Relic to 99 and 2012 Topps Heritage Clubhouse Collection Cliff Lee Jersey Relic.

In exchange Brad got my one card closer to completing the 2010 Topps 206 Mini Booklet set.  (for those keeping score that would be 2 out of 25)

Check it out!

Ramirez and Rollins Dual Relic

Awww yea!

And that ain't all folks...

Got another trade in the works... I'll post it soon!

Anyone else got any of the 206 Booklets they can deal??

Till next time

New to the blog...

Just a shout out to check out my new page chronicling the cards I've traded away from my collection!  Gone but not forgotten...

All told it consists of 40 cards.   They're in picture format only and one day I'll take the time to make the checklist up.

Also I've updated my Lost Cards File page!

Cheers!

Lost Cards Slew!

So I didn't want to do it this way.  I had every intention of trading to get back my Lost Cards, but to be honest the offers have been very few and far between.  I even sought trades from people listing cards on ebay and was able to get back the Brooks Robinson Heritage auto this way, but mostly people are looking for cold hard cash instead of a different card to sell.

So I came up with a loop hole... you can call bull shit if you want.  Just leave it in the comments.

So here is the loop hole.  I decided to help a friend out selling his stuff on ebay and thought I'd get rid of a few items myself.  I never sold anything on ebay before but it turned out to be very easy!  One of the items I sold was a drill that sold for much more then I thought it would.

I didn't think I'd get much for it and had no plans for the money I'd make off of said drill and decided to turn it in to Lost Cards.  So I consider it a "blockbuster" sort of trade!  I traded my drill to a buyer who then traded his money to several other buyers who in turn traded me Lost Cards.  Savvy?

Join me in welcoming home these 4 Lost Cards!

Welcome home Brooks Robinson  1993 Ted Williams Collection BR3!

Hey! Nice to see you too Brooks Robinson 2002 Topps Archives Reserves TRR-BR

Now it's a party! Come on in Jim Palmer 1994 Nabisco All Star Legends!

Last but certainly not least!
Cal Ripken Jr 2003 Sweet Spot SJ-CR

This officially only leaves 6 Lost Cards left to find.  Once they're recovered then I guess I've fulfilled the purpose of this blog, but I doubt very much I will retire it.  Too many awesome people and trades have come about from this bad boy and it's just nice to know people out there exist who can relate to the type of passion I have when it comes to this "kids" hobby.

Thanks for reading and all the support!

Till next time...
